Lorna "Jean" Purcell

Lorna “Jean” Purcell. Age 79, of Baden passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born April 18, 1946, in Brisbane, Australia, the daughter of the late Stewart and Myra (James) Byron. She was the beloved wife of 55 years of Graeme S. Purcell; loving mother of Kylie Purcell and Justin Purcell, mother in law of his wife Katie Owen; dear grandmother of Chloe Purcell; sister of Lynne Potter. Jean devoted her life to caring for others in her nursing career. In her spare time, her passion was quilting. She was a long-time member of the American Quilting Society and a dear friend to many in the countries she lived. Jean’s presence would always light up the room. Friends will be received on Tuesday 10 – 12 pm at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley, where a Funeral Service will be held at 12 pm.
