After retiring, he worked for the John Guest Evangelistic Team; his most memorable trip being to Ukraine to personally hand-deliver bibles. He had many part-time jobs and finally retired at age 82. He always said he never had a job that he didn’t like! Ron and Myrt were Founding Members of Christ Church at Grove Farm, where he served on many ministries. Always in the forefront of Ron’s mind was sharing his love for the Lord. He loved to tinker, fix things, and keep busy. He was happiest and most joyful when he was surrounded by his family. Ron and Myrt enjoyed skiing, tennis, traveling, camping, and most recently, day trips to Erie and Geneva on the Lake.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m., at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to Christ Church or a Charity of Your Choice. Ron, when asked, “how are you?”, would always reply, “healthy and happy”, and, HE IS! He will be profoundly missed by all of us who loved him so much. May we always pass on Ron’s positive attitude to others. Arrangements entrusted to the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Moon Twp.
